My practice
No art form takes its spiritual role as seriously as stained glass. Not only are images created through illustration, they naturally come alive through light. Whether light changes softly or with bold force, the images respond with moody transformations of tone and color; controlled by no human influence. The illusion of a supernatural drama unfolds.
It was this combination of these spiritual forces – light, color, texture and movement – that stimulated my interest in glass over 35 years ago. Whether l am working on the restoration or creation of an ecclesiastical window, a design for a residential or commercial client, or a glass sculpture for display. I revel in the knowledge that each piece of glass takes its own breath and lives its own personality and spirituality.
As an artist dedicated to quality craftsmanship, l would appreciate an opportunity to provide you with a product at the level of excellence you are welcome to expect from Weissmann Glassworks. My goal at Weissmann Glassworks is to provide your studio, committee or individuals with my expert skills and knowledge.

Commission
I will work with you on your design idea, fabrication and installation of a piece or project. Visit the gallery page to view completed works from private commissions to ecclesiastical projects, both in restoration and new creations.
Consultation
Consider using my consulting services to guide you through the process of competing for commissions, to teach you the skills of executing larger projects, or to collaborate on projects.
I have worked on many stained glass window restorations and new installations in churches throughout Canada and I have completed numerous custom commissions for residential and commercial clients.
My work has been featured in newspapers and magazines, samples of my work has been displayed in various galleries in Canada. I also taught stained glass at my studio and various institutions for the past 30 years.
Instruction
I offer programs and courses specifically designed with your needs in mind, from basic stained glass instruction to professional levels. Courses can be offered wherever you are located, as I am happy to travel domestically or internationally.
